"E" Street Plaza, Davis Parks and Community Services, City of Davis, CA
Water, 2 sided 4' diameter clock with neon, aluminum, stainless steel 9' seat diameter at base, 14' high.
Community Services water pours down the outside diameter of the central column so that it appears that the clock is held aloft by a column of water.
Seating at the base surrounds the column and provides a cooling perch in weather that reaches 106 degrees in the summer. At night the clock face glows with a turquoise light.
Clepsydra becomes the focal point of "E" Street Plaza, creating a 'town' center for this very active downtown district.
